Over the past several years the dress code in our school has become stricter and stricter. Although, certain clothing items people may wear can be inappropriate, but when students get in trouble for a hole in there jeans on there knee or just even a little tear, its unfair. Were supposed to feel comfortable in the clothes we wear to school, not feel like every morning we have to make sure we are dressed so that we cant get in trouble by a teacher. I can understand if you have a hole in a pair of jeans thats in spot thats not appropriate for school, then that person should get in trouble, but when its below the knee or somewhere it looks presentable for school, it should be allowed.

i agree. only people who are really dressed innappropriately should be punished. ripped jeans shouldn't be against the dress code. especially because its one of the biggest fashions right now. we are basically the only school who has that rule. and its dumb.

Yepp, my friend wore jeans to school with a hole in them that was barely visible and he got written up
Alden is ridiculous... we are a public school so let the public vote on a dress code.... the School public not alden public let the kids say what they want
It's really stupid when some kids can't help the fact that they have like a tiny hole in their jeans, for instance if the jeans are the only ones they have and they can't afford to get new ones. As long as it's not like a huge hole- I think it's fine.
yeahh its stupid. I hate not being able to wear my favorite pair of jeans just cause it has a stupid hole in it.
I think that having holes in your jeans should be allowed.
